Francis X. Acunzo has over 25 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in business development, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, advertising, digital communications, public relations, and branding for many industries including spa, retail, healthcare, hospitality, beauty, wellness and fitness. As a serial entrepreneur, business owner, board member and investor, Francis has displayed a critical business perspective and an ability to provide visionary leadership.
In his current role as CEO and Vision Strategist at Acara Partners, which he co-founded and manages with his wife and business partner of 30 years, Colleen, Francis is leading his team through rapid growth fueled by the digital age, pushing towards becoming one of the leading consulting, marketing and digital communications companies in the U.S.
Throughout his career, he has actively acquired businesses in order to build profitable companies. In total, he has executed upon 24 acquisitions involving over 60 locations. In addition, he has spearheaded the securing of over $80M to fund his ventures and to support Acara’s client efforts.
Francis is known for his firsts in many industries: in 2010 he launched the digital division of Acara Partners to become the first full-service business consulting, marketing and digital agency focused on the Cosmetic Medical world; in 2005, he took the first corporate owned chain of Medical Spas out of bankruptcy flipping it within 18 months; in 1999, Francis had the vision to create the industry's first consolidation of Day Spas, aggregating almost $50M in annual revenue through the acquisition of 24 of the best spas in top U.S. markets; in 1996, he launched the country's first Medical Spas through a merger between his Spa Company and Candela Laser, one of the leading Cosmetic Laser manufacturers in the U.S.; in 1991, he was the first Day Spa operator to place cosmetic lasers into spas; in 1985, he led the development of the first Resort Spa in the Northeast at the Norwich Inn in Norwich, CT.

John Powers is the Senior Communication Consultant at Reach Beyond Marketing, the digital marketing arm of Acara Partners. During his 30 year career in communication and public relations, John has held senior leadership positions in higher education, healthcare, non-profit, and the business verticals. In recent years, John has focused on strategically developing and implementing digital and traditional communication and social media programs with superior messaging for a wide variety of clients.
Prior to his work with Acara Partners and Reach Beyond Marketing, John served as director of public affairs at Yale University School of Nursing, as well as holding communication leadership positions with Midstate Medical Center and Adelbrook Behavioral Services. In addition, John is an adjunct professor of communication at Quinnipiac University and is completing his PhD in Strategic Communication from Regent University.

Gregg Soltesz is the Director of Web Production and Digital Services at Reach Beyond Marketing, a sister company of Acara Partners that is focused on digital and communication services. He leads a team of web developers, digital analysts, video and photography professionals, as well as IT specialists who are focused on producing spectacular results for clients. Gregg graduated from Quinnipiac University with a hybrid degree in computer science and mass communications – which fits perfectly with his leadership role at Reach Beyond Marketing.
He has worked in web development and design since 1992 and has held a number of positions including webmaster, designer, developer, producer, systems administration, and director of internet marketing at a number of businesses and universities, including Yale University and the University of New Haven. All of this experience and background allows Gregg to understand and dig into all aspects of web development and digital services in his role at Reach Beyond Marketing.
