Susan G. Komen Charlotte Race for The Cure 10/1/16
Every year, to honor courageous breast cancer survivors, including some of our own patients, we gather a team of walkers for the Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure. Our team proudly wears t-shirts printed with the statement, “We Will Make You New Ones,” providing a bit of much-needed levity and comfort to the topic of breast cancer reconstructive surgery. (You can purchase this tee at either Criswell office.) For more information, visit the Susan G. Komen website at
Carolina Breast Friends Pink Boots Ball 9/17/16
Our very own Dr. Kara Criswell was a sponsor speaker for the 7th Annual Pink Boots Ball, in Charlotte, which featured dinner, auctions, live music, and dancing. The proceeds of this event were to benefit Carolina Breast Friends, a non-profit organization committed to helping women with breast cancer in all stages of survival. This sold-out event showcased an encore dance performance by Clair Campbell and Pasha Antanovich, the 2016 Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte for the Pink House Judge Choice Award Winners.
